THE LORD IS COMPASSION & LOVE

Psalm 103

The Lord is compassion and love,

Slow to anger and rich in mercy.

1. My soul: give thanks to the Lord. 

All my being:  proclaim His holy Name.

My soul: give thanks unto the Lord.

Never forget all His blessings.  [ch.]

2. The Lord forgives all your sins.  

He saves you in times of tribulation.

He redeems your life from beyond the grave.

He crowns you 

With love and compassion!  [ch.]

3. For as the heavens are high above earth,

So strong is His love for us.

And as far as the east is from west,

So far does He remove our sins!  [ch.]

THE LORD DELIGHTS IN US

Psalm 149

The Lord delights in us;  the Lord delights in us;

The Lord delights in His people.

Alleluia.  Sing 'Alleluia'.  

The Lord delights in His people.

1. Sing a new song unto the Lord;  

His praises here in the assembly.

Let us rejoice in our Maker!  

Let us rejoice in our King!! [chorus]

2. Let us praise Him with dancing, 

And make music with timbrel and harp.

For the Lord delights in His people.  

He crowns the poor with salvation.    [chorus]

3. Exult in glory, you faithful.  

Shout for joy and live in peace.  

Let the praise of God be on our lips.  

This honour is for all His people.   [chorus]
