IMMANUEL

(The Gift of Salvation)

Immanuel, my Lord and Savior,   (Mt. 1:23)

The King of Israel. 

I once was lost, but now am found. 

O praise Immanuel!

1. God loved me so much (Jn. 3:16)

That He sent Immanuel, 

Who died for me, to set me free, 

That I may live forever.  [CHORUS]

2. It's not that I loved God, (1 Jn. 4:10)

But God has loved me, 

And sent His Son Jesus Christ, 

That my sins may be forgiven.  [CHORUS]

3. God has shown me (Rom. 5:8)

The very depth of His love;

For while I was a sinner, 

Christ died for me!  [CHORUS]

I have been empowered by the Holy Spirit,   (2x)

To walk in His ways, all of my days, 

To transform the world in love.   (2x)

I am now a child of God, my Father.   (2x)

Heir to His throne;  called as His own;  

Chosen to bring forth the Word.  (2x)

I have decided to follow Jesus. 

I've decided there's no turning back. 

So, I’ve decided to follow Jesus.

I am now Jesus’ beloved disciple,   (2x)

Cleansed in His blood; enrobed in His love;  

Immersed in His life giving Water.  (2x)

I have decided to follow Jesus.
