HEAR MY PEOPLE

Psalm 81:9-17

CHORUS

Hear, O hear, My people

And I will admonish you.

1. My people, will you not hear Me?

There shall be no strange gods among you:

For I am the Lord, your God,

Who brought you up from the land of Egypt.  [ch.]

2. But My people, they did not listen.

They refused to obey My Word.

So I gave them up to their hardened hearts,

To follow their own wisdom.   [ch.]

3. O that My people would listen,

And would walk in My ways;

Then would I save them from their foes,

And provide for all their needs.

Hear, O hear, My people

And I will deliver you.

LORD, YOU ARE OUR SHEPHERD

Psalm 23

Lord, You are our shepherd;  

There is nothing we shall want.

1. Lord, You are our shepherd;  

There is nothing we shall want.

You make us lie down 

In green pastures;

And lead us beside still waters.  

You restore our souls.  [chorus]

2. You lead us in right paths 

For Your name's sake.

For though we walk 

In the valley of darkness

No evil do we fear.

For You are there with rod and staff 

To comfort us.    [chorus]

3. You prepare a banquet for us 

Before our enemies.

You anoint our heads with oil;  

Our cups overflow!    [chorus]

4. Surely goodness and mercy 

Shall follow us all our days.

And we shall dwell 

In the house of the Lord 

For evermore!    [chorus]
