CLOTHED WITH POWER

Acts 1:8, 12-14              

"Clothed with Power you shall be", 

Jesus did say. To Jerusalem we went. 

We wait, and we pray. 

"Come, Holy Spirit, come" 

Is our daily prayer. 

"Fill our hearts with Your great love. 

Make Your dwelling there."

1. The one who has faith in Me 

Will do the works I do, 

And even greater things; 

I'll empower you.  

Ask the Father anything: 

Ask Him in My name. 

So the Father's glory 

You will then proclaim.   John 14:12-14

2. "Love Me and obey Me, 

My precious friend. 

The Advocate will come to you, 

And stay 'til the end. 

The Spirit of Truth 

Whom the world cannot accept. 

I'll not leave you orphaned; 

I've much to tell you yet."  

           John 14:15-18; 15:15; 16:12

3. The Holy Spirit, Gift of God, 

Coming in My name, 

Will teach you in all I said 

Just the same. 

My gift to you is Peace 

That no one else can give. 

Stay close to Me, my friends, 

And in My joy you'll live.  John 14:25-27; 15:9-11

HAVE MERCY

Psalm 51          

Have mercy on me, O God,  in Your kindness. 

1. Have mercy on me, O God. 

In Your compassion 

Blot out my offense.

O wash me from my guilt, 

And cleanse me of my sin. 

2. Create in me, O God, a pure heart, 

A steadfast spirit deep within me. 

Do not turn away from me, 

Nor deprive me of Your Spirit. 

3. Restore the joy of my salvation, 

And my mouth will declare Your praise!
